"Scape" is a suffix that turns the preceding noun into something "scapeful", such as in "landscape" or in "netscape". Analogously, an "objectscape" is something "scapeful" consisting of objects such as all these pictures on my homepage or just any kind of object as represented by the globe on the background picture or, of course (what else ..?), objects in terms of object-oriented programming, which  is something I really enjoy doing, see about me. I make use of this double-meaning to have a homepage for personal things as well as a homepage where I reference some of the work I do relating to object-oriented programming, see software. Finally, I needed a namespace for my open-source work and I thought org.objectscape makes perfectly sense for this. Oliver Plohmann, August 2010.
